The Hoole Volunteers organised by Liberal Democrat Councillor Bob Thompson and Mark A Williams cleared up the Walker Street play area recently. Litter, leaves, rubbish and even part of an old bike were cleared up from the play area and surrounding green spaces.

Bob’s team is made of local residents volunteering their time to make community spaces look better for everyone.

Councillor Thompson said, ‘It is heartening to see that local residents will give up their time to help make their community green spaces tidy and I look forward to the team growing in numbers.’

The volunteers meet monthly to clear up areas in Hoole and if you would like to join in or suggest a patch that needs attention that contact Councillor Thompson.
